So as it stands right now its no fun losing a suit to grenades. So lets start why its not fun to die to them. Hard to evade and High alpha damage. These two things make it really annoying to die to it because you feel like there is nothing you can do. That feeling does not make it fun in any game.
First Idea is add a Anti Projectile Defense system. (Basically a trophy system from COD). This could be a Equipment slot and would destroy incoming grenades and Mass driver rounds.
It would be a laser based system that would vaporize the incoming projectile before it reached the target. It would have to spend X amount of seconds charging before it could destroy another grenade or projectile. Mass drivers could still overwhelm one or two of these units.
And some lore even though im bad at it: Orginally devolped by Viziam to stop the Minmatar projectile weapons working against them they found it would be to expensive for the use of stopping the Minmatar High velocity rounds they use in there rifles. They instead went on to Developing cheaper systems. The final version used a micro pulse laser system to shoot down projectiles. In the when the finally finished development with recently increasing use of mass drivers and grenade use from the Minmatar, the Amarr started requesting High production of these units.
Seconds way is increase the grenade detection range to 20-30 meters. This would allow for you to see the grenade mid flight and make it so if the receiver of said grenade is paying attention he or she can move out of the way before it even comes near him. We are in the future so would make sense for the suit to be able to detect grenades at further ranges.
My final idea is a active module for users which is an active explosive hardener which would last 4-8 seconds. If you think someone is about to throw a grenade at you could turn on this hardener that would only be for explosives.
Any thoughts?
I am trying to be creative so grenades still can be used but anyone facing off against a grenade could have a way to defeat grenade users if there smart and use the right tools. I don't want to out right nerf grenades but just make it more fun to face off against them.

Short version I am adding counters to explosive but you there not passive counters so you have to be active in defending against them. If you do die to them you will not feel as bad as you will have fought with ways to counter it and just got beat
Also kill cam would be cool in general.

IDC about hate. Im just trying to make the game better. If you want to get real specific though going beyond cod, Trophy systems are real and are put on tanks. They are really cool to see in action.
But if the "trophy system" should only be limited to grenades that is ok. But i did say it could only fire once every X seconds so if it can only counter an explosive every 6 seconds even with 2 of them a mass driver would just complete own them. These things are equipment and can be destroyed.

There fine from a balance prospective but not from a fun to face against prospective. Never fun to die to grenade when you can't do **** about it and that is why I put so many active counter out there. If anyone else has idea to make less annoying to die to grenade and make it more fun put it in this post.

not really nothing in my posts is requesting a nerf, its adding counters. if said counters are too OP then grenades can be buffed a little.
